As 2022 comes to a close, I’m filled with excitement and a sense of accomplishment as I reflect on the art I’ve created this year. My work has ranged from tiny 2×2 pointillism pieces to bold 20×20 abstract oil paintings. Along the way, I’ve also explored alcohol ink florals and even experimented with painting on rocks.
This year, I allowed myself to dive into both fine art and more playful, crafty projects because, at the end of the day, art is all about having fun and expressing myself through visual design.
2022 has been a significant year for me, with some exciting achievements. I received an honorable mention at the Art on the Hill Art Show and earned second place in a GNAL student art show—both of which are huge milestones in my artistic journey. On top of that, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts, making this year even more rewarding.
I also had the pleasure of organizing an art show called Heatwave, which opened at The Artist’s Loft in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Additionally, I participated in my second year of the Montco Studio Tour, founded by Jeff Schaller.
This year has been one of artistic growth, particularly in Jim Green’s Oil Painting class at GNAL, where we’ve been exploring everything from landscapes to chiaroscuro.
As I look ahead to 2023, I’m excited to continue this amazing art journey and see where it takes me.
